The collaborator posted videos and photographs that illustrated that the invaders changed the Ukrainian name "Melitopol" in the arch into Russian letters, and added the inscription "Glory to the winners". "On the numerous requests of the inhabitants of Melitopol, the main rotunda of the city changed the inscription from the Ukrainian language to Russian. On the Rotunda Victory Square, new bright letters have been installed," Rogov wrote.
According to the local Ukrainian edition "Ria Melitopol", in May the invaders knocked out all Ukrainian symbols from the arch, leaving only the inscription "Melitopol". At the same time the invaders added their own "decor" - they glued paper St. George's tapes and the order. Recall that residents of Melitopol began to receive summons in the Russian army. The "risk group" first of all came to the townspeople who managed to receive Russian passports.
