The General Staff of the Armed Forces will be reduced by 60%: "extra" personnel will strengthen the battle parts (video)

The staffing of the General Staff will decrease more than half. The dismissed servicemen plan to complete military units that carry out combat missions at the front. In February-March this year, a functionality was conducted at the General Staff, which made a decision to optimize the staffing of a number of structural units and military administration bodies.

This was reported by the Head of the General Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadny General Yevgeny Ostryansky. According to him, the process involves the disbanding of some military organizational structures, the formation of new ones and the optimization of existing ones. These measures, the brigade general assured, will help to eliminate duplication of functions, while reducing the staffing of employees by 60 percent.

And already at the expense of the released personnel it will be possible to complete the management bodies of operational and tactical levels, as well as combat military units. "This, in turn, will allow the rotation of units that have been performing combat missions in the war zone for a long time," - said the head of the State Security Service of Ukraine.
