"We helped Ukraine": Russia lost 300,000 military in the war - Stoltenberg (video)

According to NATO Secretary General, Kyiv's further support is not a "charity" because the interests of the Alliance's security. The Russian Federation lost 300,000 servicemen in the war against Ukraine. This was stated by Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg during a press conference with US Presidential Advisor Jake Sullivan in Brussels on February 7.

Stoltenberg reported that last week he heard in Washington "decisive support" of Kiev by the leaders of Congress - both Republicans and Democrats. He stressed that further American assistance to Ukraine is "vital". NATO Secretary General noted that assistance to the Ukrainian army is not a "charity". According to him, the victory of Moscow will weaken the Alliance and add courage not only of the Russian Federation, but also China, Iran and North Korea.

"Having spent a small part of our military budgets, we helped Ukraine destroy a large part of Russia's combat capability. Our support is also an example of a true transatlantic burden, where both Europe and North America are making a decisive contribution to the preservation of freedom of Ukraine," he said. According to Stoltenberg, Russia has lost 300,000 soldiers in the war with Ukraine, more than 1000 armored vehicles and more than 100 aircraft.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of February 7, about 390,000 Russian invaders have been eliminated since the beginning of a full -scale war. More than 11,000 armored combat vehicles and more than 300 enemy aircraft are also reported. For its part, the Russian BBC Service on January 26 published an investigation based on open sources, according to which at least 43 thousand Russian servicemen were killed in Ukraine.
