The Russian media analyzed the statistics of the Supreme Court Judicial Department for the first 6 months of this year and concluded that the number of judgments on murder increased in the foundation, the driving sentences in a state of intoxication became three times more, and the accusations for storing drugs - a half times. The total number of convicted servicemen increased by 40%, compared with the first half of last year. During the period from January to June, 2694 persons were sentenced, 1270 for crimes against military service, the rest - for murder, theft or storage of prohibited substances. In 2022, judicial actions were carried out on 1918 servicemen, 543 were judged for war crimes. The sentences for war crimes in general have become two and a half times more.

These include failure to comply with order, desertion, simulation of the disease, as well as the delivery. The courts, according to journalists, do not take into account valid reasons why the servicemen have the right to leave part, while the Supreme Court clarification is ignored. It is worth noting that the mentioned statistics do not take into account the offenses committed by the "Wagner" who came from Ukraine and often fall into criminal reports.
