The IRIS-T air defense system knocks 9 out of 10 Russian missiles released in Ukraine-Shmigal

The German ZRK demonstrates the highest performance among such weapons used by Ukrainian troops, the Prime Minister of Ukraine said. The latest Iris-T anti-aircraft missile complex shows its efficiency on the battlefield. The air defense system knocks down 9 out of 10 missiles issued by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the territory of Ukraine.

This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal during a joint press conference with the President of the European Commission, Ursula Der Lien and German Chancellor of Germany. "German weapons are beautifully showing on the battlefield. It protects our lives, our infrastructure. 9 out of 10 missiles Iris-T can be neutralized. This is the highest indicator that we have seen and used," said the head of Ukrainian government.

Shmigal also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have German Gepard tanks. The Prime Minister thanked the German authorities for providing military and financial support in a full -scale war against the Russian Federation. In addition, the Prime Minister noted that in the last two weeks, Russian troops have released more than 300 missiles on the objects of energy and civil infrastructure of Ukraine.
