Sanctions are not valid: the expert told how many SU fighters received the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2023

The Russian aviation industry has a fully closed cycle for the production of modern fighters. At the same time, all modern serial planes are modernizations of Soviet developments. Despite the sanctions, in 2023, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation could receive 12 new SU fighters. Aviation industry expert Valery Romanenko told this in the focus comment. According to his estimates, the number of new fighters of the SU family, which the manufacturer transfers into the army, is declining.

According to Valery Romanenko, in 2021 19 aircraft of the SU family were made in Russia, it is about SU-30, Su-34 in various modifications and Su-35. In 2022, this figure amounted to 27 units plus two educational. According to the expert, in the first half of 2023 the "United Air Buddowns", which includes all the airlines of Russia, transferred two Su-30cm Armed Forces, then two more such planes.
