Attack on the energy industry: "DTEK Naftogaz" stopped the operation of gas production facilities in Poltava Oblast

As a result of the shelling, the company "DTEK Naftogaz" was forced to stop the work of gas production facilities in the Poltava region. According to DTEK Naftogaz, on the night of October 16, the enemy carried out a combined attack on the company's energy facilities, using drones and missiles.

As a result of the strikes, the work of several gas production facilities in the Poltava region was temporarily stopped. The Poltava Regional Military Administration reported that objects of the oil and gas industry were damaged due to falling debris and direct hits. According to the administration, there were no casualties. As a result of the attack, 6,450 consumers in six settlements of the region remained without gas supply.

Currently, specialized services are working on eliminating the consequences of the strikes. "Due to an enemy attack, the work of some of our facilities has been temporarily suspended. Our specialists are doing everything possible to resume production as soon as possible," the press service of DTEK Naftogaz reported. The company's specialists, together with the emergency services, are assessing the scale of the damage and have started restoration work.

The head of the Opishnya community noted that Opishnya and several nearby villages were left without gas supply. Local authorities also reported that explosions rang out in several districts of the region during an air raid alert. Information about the scale of destruction is being clarified. As Focus reported, on October 16, the Russian Armed Forces massively attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
