"I would not start people in such a trench, or I would not go to work myself," Petro Kuzik confessed. According to the military, some fortification buildings on the front could be built without taking into account the realities of modern war and outdated planning. Because of this, the Kuzik unit enters the already dug trenches or is forced to act directly under Russian attacks, digging new trenches.

The military also voiced several reasons that, in his opinion, caused this state of fortifications on the front: the cousik suggests that for someone this process is the purpose of earnings, and someone "wants to hold", in this case, according to Peter Kuzik, those responsible for the construction reliability. Some experts, including military observer Denis Popovich, commenting on fortifications on the border with Russia, assure that their erection is dangerous.

The fact is that the Russians regularly carry out shelling in such areas. In particular, it is a situation in the Sumy region, the border of which the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the eve of the summer offensive was intensively fired. The member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Sergey Rachmanin said on June 17, that defense structures in the Sumy region were built in a hurry under Russian attacks.
