Burns noted that information about the intentions of the Power of the PRC to provide Russia with lethal weapons is noticeably different from past grades in Presidential Administration Joe Baiden. At the same time, China does not yet take specific steps, and there is no actual evidence that Russia has already received such weapons from China. "We are convinced that the Chinese leadership is considering the possibility of providing lethal weapons . . .

But we do not see that the final decision has already been made, and we do not see evidence of actual supply of lethal means," Berns said. According to him, for Chinese leader Si Jinping, this step would be very risky and foolish, as already spoke of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, warning Beijing about the possible consequences of such a decision.

At the same time, the Russian-Ukrainian war is of great interest to the Secretary-General of the PRC, and how the events of last year unfolded, it was so directed. "There is no foreign leader who would observe Vladimir Putin in Ukraine more closely and the development of war than Xi Jinping. I think he was largely concerned and sober with what he saw," Berns said.

When asked by a journalist, why China for the sake of Russia's military assistance to risk close ties with the United States and Europe, Burns answered that this is a good question, and therefore he hopes that Beijing would not dare to such a step.
