Russian bloggers collect boats from governors and urge to revive the Dnipro flotilla of the Russo-Turkish wars, at least somehow to resist the forces of Ukraine's defense in the Kherson region. Russian leading bloggers have expressed their alarm about the opportunity of Ukraine to force the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. They urge to increase the presence of small river vessels and equipment on the Dnieper to prevent further promotion of Ukrainian troops.

This conclusion was reached by analysts of the American Institute for War Study (ISW) in its report published on July 3. In their address on July 2, Russian "militarycor" appealed to the heads of the republics of Dagestan and Tatarstan, Astrakhan region, Krasnodar and Primorsky Territory with a request to send boats confiscated from the poachers on the front line in the Kherson region.

They emphasized that 10 regiments and brigades of grouping the troops of the Southern Dnipro Military District need these vessels. The head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Melikov responded to this appeal on July 3 and ordered to transfer confiscated poaching boats to Russian troops.

One of the Russian "military" proposed to revive the Dnipro flotilla, which actively participated in the Russian-Turkish wars of 1735-1739 and 1787-1792, as well as in the Civil War in Russia and the Second World War. He believes that the revival of Dnipro flotilla can significantly improve the situation of Russian troops in the Kherson region and proposes to use simple civilian use to strengthen this group.

Several other bloggers, including former Russian officer Igor Strelkov-Girkin, stated that Russian troops in the Kherson region needed small boats and equipment to keep Ukrainian troops as far away from the Dnieper Delva as "a common alarming reaction that many Russian Milblogists fear the ability of Ukraine to cross the river and believe that the current command of the Dnipro group has not prepared their troops in such an opportunity, "the ISW report reads.
