Germany put an Armed Forces two additional TRML-4D air surveillance radars

Not only is the TRML-4D main sensor of the IRIS-T SLM air defense system, which are in service with the Armed Forces, but also works independently as a radar station. The radar is designed to identify and aim at the purpose of starting installations from close and long distances. The German Government has set up two TRML-4D air surveillance radar for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, manufactured by the German company Hensoldt.

In this way, Germany has strengthened Ukraine's support, giving it the most modern radar technologies, allowing Ukrainian forces to maintain a technological advantage in the field of air defense. This was reported on November 7 at Defensa. "Radar systems play an important role in early detection and protection against such threats, being" eyes "of airspace.

These systems are able to identify and track air purposes, which is crucial for the sovereignty and defense of any country," the publication reads . The flagship of German TRML-4D equipment is not only the main sensor of the IRIS-T SLM air defense system, three systems of which have already been put in Ukraine, but also operates independently as a radar station. Such versatility makes the radar a key part of the modern intelligence complex and the early warning system of Ukraine.

TRML-4D, which is part of the Hensoldt C-Band Radar Radar family, is a remote control mobile installation that has already proven its opportunities in the field. TRML-4D is capable of shining air targets on a distance of 200 m to 250 km and at altitudes up to 40 km. At the same time, the confident recognition and support of the "fighter" object begins at 120 km, "winged rocket" - 60 km. The possibility of simultaneous support of 1500 goals is stated.

The developers emphasize that the TRML-4D system with advanced technology of active electron-scanning (AESA) on the basis of Galium nitride is designed to identify and aim on the target of weapons from close and long distances. It is able to identify, track and classify different types of air goals, especially low -dimensional, fast and maneuverable winged missiles, stationary planes and helicopters.
