Hamas fighters were likely to be attended by instructors from the Russian Federation. Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, said this, on the YouTube channel Focus.

When asked whether a third party, including the Russian Federation, could assist terrorists in the preparation of attack on Israel, Alexander Musienko answered in the affirmative. "Indeed, we can say that for what is happening, two countries with instructors are in this preparation. This is Russia, and it's Iran. I am almost sure of that," the analyst said.

According to the expert, these two states gave Hamas fighters organizational support, as well as taught their tactics for the use of some types of weapons. "There are many traces of Russian and Iranian influence on the situation," Musienko said.
