Nuclear Union of Neighbors: The Russian Federation supports China in strategic weapons

To extend: The head of the US Strategic Command, General Anthony Cotton, presented the Senate, which detailed the key nuclear threats coming from Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. In particular, it was stated that Beijing actively cooperates with Moscow, increasing its own nuclear potential. The document emphasizes the close cooperation of four nuclear club countries, which, according to the Pentagon, forms serious challenges for global security.

According to the report, Beijing invests significant funds in the development of nuclear arsenal infrastructure, including expanding the production of plutonium on airborne reactors with the support of Russia. Today, China already has 600 deployed nuclear warheads, and by 2030 this number can reach 1000 units. Additionally, the construction of 320 mine launchers for intercontinental ballistic missiles (IBR) in the West of China is noted.

The importance of other elements of the Chinese nuclear triad is also emphasized. It is a six strategic Type 094 strategic submarines that provide reliable nuclear restraint, as well as the development of a H-20 strategic stealth bomber with a flight range up to 8000 km, which theoretically threaten the US territory, especially taking into account the air. According to the Pentagon, Russia has the largest nuclear arsenal: 1550 expanded strategic warheads and about 2000 tactical charges.

The strategic rocket troops (RVPP) have developed 310 intercontinental ballistic missiles (IBRs), carrying about 1,200 nuclear warheads. The key maritime components of Russia's nuclear triad are the underwater rocket launchers 955 "Borei", which replace the old submarines of the 667BDRM "Dolphin". From the planned 14 units for water, 8 submarine has been launched.

In addition, the Navy of Russia contains multi -purpose atomic submarines of the "Ash" project, which is planned to be built 12 submarine (in operation already 6). The report also refers to the Poseidon underworld with a 2 MT charge and a winged rocket with a nuclear engine "developed". In the field of strategic aviation development, Russia could complete the development of a strategic bomber of PAC-DA by the end of the 2020s.

However, particular concern in the Pentagon is the possible placement of nuclear weapons in space. North Korea continues to increase nuclear capacity, activating the production of weapons plutonium and highly enriched uranium. Pyongyan successfully tests new solid fuel missiles, reducing their pre -start preparation. In addition, the DPRK is constructing a strategic submarine, and the development of tactical nuclear weapons was also stated.

Iran, for its part, increases the reserves of highly wrapped uranium and unfolds new centrifuges, shortening the time required to create a nuclear charge, from 10-15 days to less than 7. The report also shows progress in the development of medium-range ballistic missiles, such as the Simorgh carrier, capable of delivering a cap.
