The wife of the deceased Michal Zhurek said that, going to Ukraine last April last year, he said that he would fight for the freedom of our country, as well as the security of Poland. According to him, Michal sacrificed his life for the protection of another person.

The relatives of the soldier made a farewell word. As the wife of warrior Agatian Zhurek told, he realized himself in the army. Michal was distinguished by high professional characteristics. "I didn't hear a bad word about him," the woman said. She did not mind when Michal decided to go to Ukraine a year ago. He said he would fight for the freedom of Ukraine and the security of Poland. After returning to his homeland he wanted to serve in the Polish army.

The woman confessed that she received little information about the death of her husband. He is known to be seriously injured in Bakhmut's head as a result of artillery shelling. The hero died on March 25 in a hospital in Dnipro. Michal Zhurek was the commander of a platoon of the Volunteer International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
