Negotiations between representatives of Moscow and Washington concerned the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near critical infrastructure. The communication line created between the US and the Russian Federation at the beginning of a full -scale war in Ukraine has been used only once. About it reports Reuters with reference to the unnamed official representative of Washington.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, the United States initiated a call on the line of "deconflict situation" in order to express concern about the operations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near the critical objects of infrastructure of Ukraine - to clarify which the incident touched the conversation source. At the same time, the publication notes that such incidents may include actions of Russian troops around the Zaporizhzhya NPP in Energodar.

Journalists noted that the de -conflict line is only one of the channels that are in contact with the US and Russian military. Other channels take into account the rare negotiations between the defense ministers Lloyd Austin and Sergei Shoig, as well as the commander -in -chief of the armies of the two countries Milly and Valery Gerasimov. In addition, the White House Advisor Jake Sullivan and CIA Bill Bill Burns were also contacted with Russian representatives.

Responding to the request of commenting on the conflict resolution line, the Pentagon only said that he had several channels to "discuss critical security issues with the Russians during unforeseen circumstances or emergency to prevent estimates, military incidents and escalation".
