The Ministry of Defense and his head Alexei Reznikov were accused of purchasing summer jackets instead of winter at an inflated price. In a comment to Babel, he offered a couple on August 25. Reznikov said he was ready to resign if the charges were confirmed.

However, if 180 thousand jackets are winter, he proposes to leave his opponents. It is about the People's Deputy from the party "Servant of the People" and the Chairman of the Anti -Corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Anastasia Radina made a mandate, and the journalist of "Ukrainian Truth" Mikhail Tkach left journalism for three years. The Minister promised that all documents, evidence, facts and materials concerning the case would be provided.

"The winner of the dispute is obvious to all Ukrainian society," Reznikov emphasized. The official also invited the arbitrators in this pair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee and Commission of Journalistic Ethics. He identified the editorial boards of Ukrainian publications. At the time of publication of Radin and Tkach material, they did not respond to the proposal of a pair from the Minister of Defense.

In early August, the media published documents that indicate possible violations in the procurement of the form for the soldiers of the Armed Forces. In particular, in 2022 the Defense Ministry purchased winter clothing for defenders. However, it was reported that things went up significantly on the road. The contract was concluded with the Turkish company Vector Avia Hava Araçlari. Moreover, journalists explained that winter jackets weighed twice less than analogues from China.

The authors of the investigation suggested that the defenders met winter in summer jackets. On August 11, the Ministry of Defense responded to the charges. It turned out that the form was intended for the soldiers of the TRO unit, and the investigation began. The department emphasized that they did not search the contractor and conclude the relevant contract. On August 23, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak published a comparative table with prices for the jacket purchased for the Armed Forces.

He noted that on the road to Ukraine the price of all parties has almost tripled. Later, Zheleznyak reported that a company that was involved in the supply of winter jackets for defenders was fictitious. Moreover, according to him, documents given by the Ministry of Defense are fake. On August 25, the Ukrainian Truth journalist, Mikhail Tkach, announced an investigation into the Turkish firm that executed the order.

According to the media, at the time of procurement, its co -owners were Roman Pletnaov and Alexander Kasai. The latter is a relative of the people's deputy from the "servant of the people" Gennady Kasaay. Also on August 25, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti -Corruption Policy and deputy Anastasia Radina said she was preparing an appeal to NABU. She called personally responsible for the purchase of minister Alexei Reznikov.
