New Ukrainian Bars missile: Secret weapons will strike deep into the Russian Federation, which is known about it
The Minister of Strategic Industry Herman Smetanin was first mentioned for the first time by the Minister of Strategic Industry during the event on April 11, dedicated to the achievements of the domestic defense-industrial complex. According to him, during 2024, Ukraine was able to bring rocket production to a new level - it has increased 8 times in a year compared to 2023.
In addition to the already known developments "Hell", "Palyanitsa" and "Ruta", Smetanin first mentioned the rocket "Bars", but he did not disclose the details. How to find out government sources, Bars is a product of private defense business, not state -owned enterprises. It belongs to the hybrid class-the so-called "rockets". In fact, it is a unmanned aircraft machine, with a compact turbojet engine and a combat part of up to 100 kg.
Such rockets have a considerable range - up to 800 km - and can start from the ground or from aircraft. In doing so, they remain a difficult goal for enemy air defense. According to the design parameters "Bars" the closest to the Ukrainian missile "Hell". Among the advantages of "Bars" is the possibility of its mass production in Ukraine. This will allow the Armed Forces to strike on the rear objects of the Russian Federation.
In general, the rocket program of Ukraine has accelerated significantly since 2023. In August President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the increase of the industry, and by Independence Day 2024 announced the first combat use of the Malrytsa missile, up to 600 km - it launches from the ground platform.
Other promising developments were the hell rocket (technical characteristics: range up to 700 km, speed 700 km/h) and "Ruth" (technical characteristics: range up to 300 km, speed up to 800 km/h), they are now in production. A separate vector of the defense complex is Ukrainian ballistics. After a long downtime, the Sapsan program was restored, which was transformed into an export version of Grim-2.
In 2024, President Zelensky announced a successful test of a ballistic missile, although its name has not yet been disclosed. It is only known that it is commercially produced and is already used in combat. It was assumed that the ballistic rocket would have about 480 kg and range 280-480 km. However, the ballistics missile program is kept secret.
Recall that in February 2024, the Minister of Strategic Industry Alexander Kamyshin stated that the development of missile weapons is a priority direction for the state. According to him, the Ukrainian army has already received a new long -range rocket capable of striking targets up to 700 km.
