Russian engineers could damage the engines of Slovak MiG-29, which transmit to Ukraine-Nadi

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, in 2022 the planes were injured in places that were accessible exclusively by Russian techniques. However, the police could not establish the crime of personnel. The Slovak MiG-29 fighters served Russian techniques. They could deliberately damage the engine parts. This was stated by Defense Minister Yaroslav Nady, reports Euroactiv. In 2022, Russian experts conducted a service at the sibling.

Slovak engineers had limited access to the MiG-29 fighter parts, and Russian had access to the rest. According to the Minister of Defense, the planes were injured in the part where the Russians only had access. "Even the police investigated it on our suspicion," Nadi says. However, the investigation did not proven intentional damage to the planes.

Since then, the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia has lost confidence in maintenance with the Russian Federation, as malfunctions continued to detect where the Russians had access. Expert Lieutenant General Lubomir Sloboda also suggests that the Russians deliberately damaged the Mig-29 fighter. "We took from them an engine that was to work 350 hours. And in the end, it flew for only 70 hours. What can we do from it? Maybe there was a bad performance, let's call it so. I don't know," Sloboda said.
