Ukrainian air defense will become more effective than last winter - the commander

According to Sergei Nayev, more air defense systems have appeared in the Armed Forces and the efficiency will be higher. But the Russian Federation has set a goal - to produce thousands of shock drones, said Samuel Bendett, a senior researcher at the Center for New American Security. Ukrainian air defense will now be more effective as there are more weapons. This was stated by Deputy Chief of GUR of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky, Sky News reports.

Journalists say that during the invasion of Russian troops, almost half of the entire energy system of Ukraine has been injured, and the threat of new attacks on the power system remains acute. According to Vadim Skibitsky, Moscow can start attracting even more SHahred drones with rockets and attack a number of goals to confuse Ukraine's air defense.

But in a comment to Western journalists on September 7, the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces Sergey Naev stated that the enemy did not leave his criminal ideas about attacks on critical objects of energy infrastructure and economy of Ukraine. "Last winter we had fewer [systems]. Now we were given more, and efficiency will be higher," he explained.

Samuel Bendett, a senior researcher at the New American Security Center, for his part, noted that although Ukraine, apparently, has prepared well for new blows of drones, more massive attacks could still create a problem. "There will be more drones in the air, but probably not much more than it is now, since Russia is still far from the intended purpose for the production of thousands of shock UAVs," Bandett explained.
