Ukrainians were paid frozen assets of Russian banks: which was spent on funds

The largest amount of money was taken away from the daughters of the Russian Sberbank, which previously worked in different regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian government, within the framework of payment of compensation to citizens for destroyed or damaged during the fighting, used the arrested funds of Russian banks that worked in our country until full -scale aggression.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Organization of State Authorities, Local Self -Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Elena Shuliak said this on October 20, 2023. According to her, the largest used amount was from the daughter of the Russian Sberbank, who worked in Ukraine. Shuliak says that Russian assets, which are now frozen in other countries of the world, will eventually give Ukraine.

This money, in particular, will be spent on Ukrainians who have suffered from war. "As of today, we used only the arrested funds of Russian banks that worked in Ukraine. The largest amount was from the daughter of the Russian" Sberbank ", which worked in Ukraine," she said. The State Program "Equation", within which Ukrainians are paid up to 200 thousand hryvnias for repair of damaged housing, started in May 2023.

The government helped Ukrainians who: Ukrainians bought the necessary building materials for paid compensation. A year is given to the development of these funds. And in the last month of summer, a new stage of "Equation" began, and Ukrainians began to register an application for compensation for the destroyed property. Housing certificates that have funds for the purchase of new housing are provided: before that, Ukrainians have applied for "actions" for repair of just damaged property.
