The Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov accused Ukrainians and their Western partners of negation to negotiate. In Russia, they talked about an alternative to war in Ukraine. This is known from the material "Izvestia" of December 6. Russian Presidential President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov stated that Ukraine and the West were not looking for negotiations. According to him, they are the only alternative to fighting.

"The main thing for us is the achievement of our goals that stand before us and, of course, the achievements of these goals by political and diplomatic means. But when the West and Ukrainians reject these methods, then it continues (the so-called war in Ukraine,- . ) ", - Peskov said. On December 4, the adviser to the chairman of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak spoke about negotiations with Russia.

He advised to forget about terms such as "elections" and "negotiations" against the Russian Federation. "Who told you that Russia is talking about negotiations? He explained that Moscow's only proposal is the surrender of Ukrainian forces and the consolidation of already occupied territories.

We will remind, member of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and representative of President Vladimir Zelensky in Parliament Fedor Venislavsky stated that the Kremlin periodically declares its readiness for negotiations, but does not comply with the necessary conditions. The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov also stated that he did not believe in negotiations with Ukraine.
