Elections during the war: Danilov told why it is impossible (video)

The NSDC Secretary stated that he did not understand how citizens who are now directly on the front line can be involved in the election. In Ukraine, it is impossible to hold elections until the war is over, since servicemen should be able to vote. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov on the air of the TEMURAFON on August 2. The official said he did not understand how elections can be held in war.

According to him, this topic should be treated "extremely care. " "Keep in mind, people who are directly in the trenches, directly on the front line, how do those who think of elections are about to attract these people? Are you going without people in pixel to hold an election?" Said the NSDC Secretary. Alexei Danilov stressed that Ukrainians who fight the aggressor must participate in the elections.

"If people who defend our country do not participate in the elections, I want to see what they will be for elections," the official summed up. We will remind, on July 31, a representative of the Central Election Commission stated that despite the fact that wartime does not provide elections, voting is possible if there is political will and appropriate changes in the legislation.
