Zelensky first allowed elections during the war: the conditions named

According to the Head of State, elections in Ukraine can take place, but it is necessary to resolve security issues and change the legislation. On October 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy first allowed elections in Ukraine during the war. The safety of voters must be ensured. Zelensky told this in an interview with Sky TG24. According to the Head of State, the Verkhovna Rada must solve all tasks to ensure safe access to voting.

"The situation is difficult, but elections in Ukraine can take place," Zelensky said. He noted that Ukrainian citizens should vote without being attacked. "We have this task, but if our country manages to amend the laws, then there will be elections in Ukraine," the President said. We will remind that on September 23 Zelensky stated that society in Ukraine is not ready to spend money on elections. He also noted that the greatest difficulties for holding elections during the war are security issues.
