"Our Values": Europe and the US should not allow the Russian Federation to freeze war - von der Lyen

According to the President of the European Commission, decades of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation cannot win, so they need to restore strength for a new jerk. The task of the event is not only to prevent it, but also to bring Kiev to victory. The European Union and the United States of America should not allow the Russian Federation to freeze the war in the territory of Ukraine, as it will have deplorable consequences.

This was stated by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Lien during a speech at the Hudson Institute on October 19. According to her, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been fighting with the Armed Forces and the civilian population of Ukraine, but they cannot win. In this regard, the Kremlin wants to take a break to restore strength and apply a new, more intense impact. To prevent this, Washington and the EU can combine their efforts.

These will be a kind of security guarantees for Ukraine. "We will never be able to match the self -sacrifice and courage of Ukrainians, but we can stand firmly on their side. This is exactly what we should do as long as it will be necessary. Not just because it would be right - to do so But also because they are fighting for our values, for our strategic security, " - said Ursula von Der Lyen.

It was separately stated that in the forces of Europe and the USA providing such assistance to Kiev, which could make it impossible to continue this war for Russia. What exactly - the President of the European Commission did not tell. She only added that the end of hostilities should bring a fair and sustained peace for Ukraine and one of the options - the formula of peace proposed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
