Sanctions are not an obstacle: why the Russian Federation still creates systems of EW, which "blazes" HIMARS
The secret of such "technological sovereignty" in the production of such complexes is quite simple: Russian military engineers use old Soviet semiconductors, Chinese electronics and dual -use radio components (products that can be used for both civilian and military purposes, and therefore it is difficult to "ban").
According to Mikhail Zhirokhov, there are a lot of reserves of old Soviet components in the military warehouses of the army of the Russian Federation - they will be enough for decades of production of complex radio electronics, such as the systems of EWS and other radio equipment required by the Russian military.
On the other hand, the Russians have a very slow pace of assembly and creation of HR-the production of one high-quality complex that is able to detect with Himars and other Western missiles and drones-Kamikadze can take "nine to fifteen months", "Zhirokhov says. The expert notes that the Russian military industry actively uses various Chinese electronic components, because Western countries have always restricted and did not sell Russia's similar military electronics.
But military engineers from Russia have found a way out here: they use western dual -use products, which is difficult to track and almost impossible to include in the sanctions lists. "Of course, there is a western dual-use electronics, and it is sold more or less, and there is a military electronics used in the systems of the HR, then its event has never sold,"-explains Mikhail Zhirokhov.
- "All Russian complexes of the IEC are now made up of dual -use components, Chinese electronics and old Soviet semiconductors. " However, fortunately, the assembly of such systems takes a long time, and therefore not so much effective systems for the RBS and "literally each of them on the account,"-says a military specialist.
In his recent commentary for Financial Times, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov noted that with the help of radio electronic struggle, Russian occupiers sometimes successfully manage the Himars RSSV missiles that use GPS to go to the target. But the Russians knock down not only them, but also drones, but also actively silence mobile systems so that the occupied population could not communicate with relatives in the Ukrainian territories.
"The invaders come up with counter -measures, and my partners and I have new countermeasures for their counter -measures," Alexei Reznikov explained to reporters. Earlier, focus told how, according to the expert, to protect any unit of the Armed Forces from Lancats.
