There is a good result for our air defense - Ukraine now has more "patriots" - address of the President

Dear Ukrainians, Ukrainian women! Today we can already say that there is a good result for our air defense - Ukraine now has more "patriots". I want to thank Chancellor Mertz, thank Germany and everyone who is helping: our agreements are fulfilled. There are still "patriots" in Ukraine, we include them in the work. Of course, more systems are needed across our state to shut down key infrastructure and our cities, and we will continue to work to get that.

And not only at the political level with states and leaders, but also with the manufacturers of all the necessary air defense systems and missiles for them. There will be meetings on this next week, and we have presented to the partners all the calculations, all possible options, how to ensure a sufficiently reliable air defense system.

Almost every day we defend ourselves against Russian ballistics, we need to continue to destroy Russian military aircraft, and all this requires a multi-component air defense system. And this is also our military aviation, and there are solutions regarding this and regarding Gripens, and regarding French aircraft, and we are working on the F-16. Also air defense systems and missiles for them, the development of mobile fire groups and, of course, the priority now - interceptor drones.

The number of interceptors for this year will be as determined by the state task. It is important that the Defense Forces, together with all the institutions involved, increase the number of trained drone operators - the appropriate system - with the same speed and quality. I also want to thank today our soldiers of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, our intelligence for long-range sanctions against Russia.

The geography of sanctions is increasing, the losses of the Russian military machine are also increasing. Moreover, we use more and more often not only Ukrainian drones, but also our missiles - they demonstrate themselves well. I thank our producers. Front - there were military reports today. First of all, pay attention to the Pokrovsky direction, there are results in the destruction of the occupier. I will especially note the units of the 79th separate amphibious assault brigade.

I also thank the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces, the special forces of the Military Law and Order Service, the National Police, the SBU, and intelligence for their effective and active actions both in the Pokrovsk and Kupyansk districts. I thank the soldiers of the 1st separate assault regiment for the high-quality combat work in Donetsk region. I thank the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade for fire support in the Pokrovsk districts.
