From protection to corruption. What problems did cryptocurrency business in Ukraine face during the war - an expert
- Since February 24, most of the cryptocitor's entrepreneurs have been demoralized. Many were engaged in evacuation of families, friends, staff, some and personally. Lviv was the most favorable place for the development of the IT sector,-says Sergey Sotnichenko. - For some time he became a "silicon valley" for Ukraine with the system of Israel, as Lviv also "flew". By mid -March, the restoration of the work of many IT, Fintech, and cryptostructures was recorded.
Video day is the formation and purchase of personal protective equipment for the Armed Forces, nutrition for people, medicines. But despite this, there were those companies that did not treat their country very well. - Such people can be divided into two categories - "remained neutral" and "I will return later", - explains Sergey Alexandrovich.
- The first category simply did nothing, a kind of caste of ignorant, which can be taken away 3% of the total number of companies that worked in this area before Russia's invasion. The second category is those who have rushed abroad, drawing up documents for departure from the country, contrary to prohibitions related to martial law. There were about 10%of them. - But 86% of companies did a lot for the country.
Their funds spent in support of the population and the army today exceed the amount of $ 2-2. 5 billion. There are a number of companies that we do not pay attention to-less than 1%of them, which were traitors of the country and did not take away the franchises and channels of cooperation with the terrorist state after February 24,-said Sergei Sotnichenko. - But these formations are already working working groups at the NSDC of Ukraine.
A few weeks ago, lists of persons who came under the sanctions of the National Security Council were announced. Many of the good formations of the IT/Fintech Ukraine sector have already returned to Kiev, many moved to it from Kharkiv, Poltava and other regions. According to official information, almost 68% of companies have arrived in Kiev. - We will not talk about growth, because a real war is ongoing, but we see how business makes a lot of effort.
It's no secret that young specialists are programmers, designers, traders and Project Managers will always be able to find a job remotely. Official statistics from international companies confirms that Ukrainian experts are hired at large companies, providing them with high salaries, accommodation and social packages. But we need to have some vision, as in the present realities to restrain this sector within the country.
- First of all, it is important to put a law enforcement service in this direction and to partially reduce the degree within the operating associations and the market, - says Sergey Sotnichenko. - There are fixed cases where for our state systems at a low level they provide a picture about beneficiaries or streams that are not true.
The greatest motivation and 75% of criminal cases in this sector today are submitted with the false wording "Russian money", where the operative employee who does not understand, hangs a label of "Russian money" on cryptocurrency transactions, - says Sergey Alexandrovich.
- I can responsibly declare that in the market of crypto assets with a general consensus, a memorandum has been adopted that it is impossible to perform operations with Russian citizens and with the structures being controlled by them. In general, all cryptosphere experts try to control their work, because in our country there is no appropriate cryptomonitoring. - the market was navigated and self -regulated by current realities.
A number of tools for identifying flows that in a holistic picture have been created to realize the possible flow of cryptoactives coming from the aggressor country, and further block it, thereby the degree in the market should be reduced by dialogue and rigid measures for those who want to heat up. . There is only one step from the defender to the corrupt or defender to the corruption.
Each specialist should be severely react to cases so that companies can work and provide jobs by helping people and the army. - Those who remain and will continue to do more and better, possibly even growth, and will be able to keep their employees within the country in the present realities. After all, they have already proven the right and deed of their country how they are ready to fight for every meter of this land, their relatives and loved ones, - says Sergei Sotnichenko.
The cryptosphere/Fintech is not only working in Ukraine. This is decentralization. It is a sector similar to an athlete who got to the Olympics. What flag will the athlete will perform? Under the flag of her country, bringing her prestigious medals. Similarly, in this situation, Ukraine is now a location for patriotic reasons, as well as for climate reasons for this sector within the country.
These two factors should be in a certain balance, and if the first can now go off, the second should be at the comfort level for associations, their families and employees. - We worked on this law to bring investments in the country from companies in this sector. So that our companies can be implemented with a location in Ukraine and foreign companies have the desire to get jurisdiction here. For all tax issues to be regulated to this sector and to replenish our budget, - says Sergey Sotnichenko.
