Ukraine is preparing for winter: what systems against drones will receive the Armed Forces and what will not be available

Western allies have announced the supply of antitrone systems to Ukraine and share advanced technologies in the field of these types of weapons. However, some research specimens, such as microwave weapons based on Leonidas, will not be provided. While Ukraine is preparing for Russian attacks on the eve of the winter, Western allies intend to send Kiev the latest defense workers. Defense One wrote about what advanced systems can get to Ukraine.

In an interview with journalists, Polish General Veslav Kukula said that Russian drones were making chaos, including on the battlefield - most Polish howitzers damaged by the Russians were destroyed by barrel ammunition. For his part of the Air Force of Ukraine, Yuri Ignatu warned that winter would probably bring a record number of attacks of Russian UAVs. He noted the Russian apparatus of Shahd 136 Iranian development capable of overcoming more than a thousand kilometers to strike for purposes.

To eliminate US threats and their allies, they direct antitumerates and are ready to share advanced technologies. Many of the new drone protection systems have an automatic gun, combined with the radar tracking system and the muffler of the radio electronic wrestling. Such systems are primarily encountered with approaching, obstacles, designed to disrupt navigation and interrupt their connection with Russian operators.

Among the cannon systems that have already been sent to Ukraine or will soon be sent: Terrahawk Paladin from MSI Defense Systems, announced in early October Slinger EOS, as well as Cortex Typhon Kongsberg. Another Agnostic Gun Truck (AGT) system will be sent to Ukraine in the near future. There is also a Vampire missile complex L3harris and Dronehunter.

"These systems will join a number of other companies that send drones to Ukraine, including the Droneshield," Droneeshield, "said Defense One CEO Oleg Vornik. Meanwhile, there are no some of the most modern UAVs that are being developed or purchased for the US Army among these systems. For example, Epirus handed over to US troops the first prototype of powerful microwave weapons to protect against drones.

The system called Indirect Fire Protection Capability-High-Power Microwave, created on the basis of the Leonidas Epirus system and is designed to defeat a flock of drones similar to those that are more commonly used in the fields of battles in Ukraine. The United States also did not send a 50-kv laser to destroy drones that the army tested for use in combat conditions, as well as an army of the M-SHORAD near action and its L-Madis analogue for marine infantry.

However, this is due to the fact that some of these systems are prototypes and are considered experimental patterns. Although, on the other hand, observers, a system such as L3harris Vampire, began a test only in 2021, and its prototype was selected by the Pentagon for departure to Ukraine in August 2022.
