Since 2025, Ukrainians will be able to apply for reparations for crimes of the Russian Federation: how to do it

According to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov, 45 categories of applications will be available. They can be submitted through "action". Since 2025, citizens of Ukraine will be able to apply for reparations for any losses caused by Russian aggression. New categories will be added to the International Register of losses that cover the damage of life, health, destroyed property and other types of losses.

This was reported by Viceremier-Minister-Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov. He noted that information about the destroyed housing began to be collected in the International Register in April. The leaders in the number of applications were Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. "It is an important mechanism, in fact, the basis for future reparations. The more statements, the more clearly the understanding of the world about the harm caused by Russia to Ukraine," Fedorov wrote.

Next year, the registry team will complete legal and technical training in order to provide an opportunity in the first half of 2025 to apply for all 45 categories of losses. Ukrainians affected by the actions of Russian invaders can apply to the International Register of Damage through the Action Portal. The government urges citizens to actively provide information to help record the crimes of the aggressor.
