Utility Benefits: Who will receive double payment in March

Housing and communal services benefits will be accrued in two months in connection with the introduction of new uniform rules in 2025. These changes relate to taking into account the marginal level of income of citizens at the time of the discount. The Pension Fund explained that no corresponding accruals were made in February. Now all families that meet the set criteria for income will receive double amounts.

"Benefits will be funded in March for 2 months, if you have a privilege for your family income," PFU noted. According to the new norms stipulated by the Law on the State Budget for 2025, utilities will be granted on a single principle - taking into account the average total family income.

The Pension Fund noted that some categories of citizens could receive assistance without taking into account the marginal level of income, but in connection with the limited financial resources of the state budget, a new rule was introduced, which provides for uniform conditions for granting privileges. Discounts will now be provided only if the average family income does not exceed UAH 4. 24 thousand.

However, the Fund indicated an important nuance: for all Ukrainians who will apply for privileges in 2025, the right to help will be established in view of income, and those citizens who received benefits as of the end of 2024 inclusive, the corresponding changes will affect after the heating season. They will not apply the norm with the only approach to combatants (UBD) and persons with disabilities that arose from the war.
