The bridge was damaged by the explosion of the Russian rocket during an attack on Kyiv on October 10. The pedestrian-watered bridge in Kiev opened on Saturday, December 17, after repair work, which was carried out after the rocket attack of the Russian army on the capital, it was partially damaged. The joyous news was reported by the mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko.

According to him, during the repair, all 18 damaged floor windows and 143 glass railings were replaced, 57 of which completely destroyed, and 86 damaged, resumed railings and cables, stretched along the bridge, and the employees of Kyivavtodormost once again surveyed and video surveillance. Anti -otheated materials were applied to the bridge and the snow was removed.

"So, one of our symbols of unbrokenness again waited for Kyivans and guests of the capital," the mayor wrote on his Facebook page, publishing some photos. The pedestrian-watered bridge in Kiev, which connects the Vladimir Hill Park with the Arch of Friendship of Peoples, was opened on May 25, 2019, and already on June 13 it was closed for regulatory repair work. In the people, this object was called "bridge Klitschko".

The attack, which resulted in one rocket under the bridge, was carried out on October 10. The enemy beat the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and Kiev in particular. Then the glass elements of the pedestrian-bike bridge were injured, and the rope and metal structures were survived.
