Peace can become a trap: Zelensky declared the impossibility of negotiations with the Russian Federation

According to the President, the reason for the Russian full -scale invasion of Ukraine was a weak reaction of the West to the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of part of the East in 2014. As of now, negotiations with Russia are unrealistic, and peace with Moscow can become a trap. This was stated in an interview with The Guardian President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He emphasized that it is unknown when the war is over, so now the start of negotiations with Moscow looks unrealistic.

According to Zelensky, the peace agreement will be a "trap", since Russian President Vladimir Putin will break any agreement, and he cannot be trusted. At the same time, Zelensky is convinced that the Kremlin head launched a full -scale war in Ukraine in 2022, because the response of the Western countries to the annexation of Crimea and the capture of part of the East of Ukraine in 2014 was weak.

In addition, the President of Ukraine reminded the demand of the Russian side to accept the so -called new territorial realities. The Ukrainian leader claims that Moscow will use any pause in combat to "strengthen the muscles on the battlefield" and sooner or later strikes again. According to him, the current events in Ukraine are similar to the Second World War, but on a smaller scale because of the "ideology of Russian fascism".

The President says that Russians use the same cruel methods of war as in Nazi Germany, resorting to mass executions, burials and rapes. "If Russia had won in Ukraine, Putin would seek to change the borders of Europe even more, attacking other countries," Zelensky said, adding that the real Third World War is now going on.
