EU Defense Ministers have agreed on a training mission for the Armed Forces - Borrel

The Ministers of Defense of the EU member countries have approved preparation for the creation of a training mission for the Ukrainian military. This was reported by the EU Diplomacy Head of Josep Borrel during a briefing following the meeting of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense of the EU countries in Prague. Borrel repeated that EU countries will provide Ukraine with military support for as many as needed, including the supply of weapons and the training of the Armed Forces.

Borrel said that the decision was not officially made because the meeting of ministers in Prague was an informal meeting.

But, he said, it was decided to start preparation for the mission, which includes contacts with representatives of Ukraine and determining the legislative parameters of the mission. The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov, who also participated in an online format meeting, presented the EU list of training activities at different levels required by the Armed Forces, Borrel reported.
