"The problem is but not fantastic": Wild told how many deserters in the Armed Forces (video)

The ATO veteran said that with the increase of forcibly mobilized in the army, the number of cases of HSF increased. However, he stressed that it is not always about desertion - some fighters return. Cases of desertion and HSC in the Ukrainian army are a minority, but they are. A military and political analyst, a veteran of the ATO Yevgeny Wild, told about it in an interview with "News". "This is definitely a minority. Yes, it is still a much larger percentage than I would like to hear," he said.

The analyst explained that there are not so many deserters in Ukraine that due to such cases, one or the rest will lose its combat capability. "This is a percentage where the vast majority remains that all regular tasks can be performed," he added. Wild also confirmed that in Ukraine the number of cases of unauthorized abandonment of units (HSF) increases. "I would not say how terrible to consider these figures.

That is, not the amount at which the combat capacity of the parts is really lost," the veteran said. He explained that all cases of HSF cannot be equated with desertion. The HCP is any case where the military has not returned to part in the appointed period. It is possible that the fighter left it without a message from the management or was legally released and did not return on time.

"So, more than half of these cases are different household stories, when something really delayed with relatives, to whom I went to do something, or, sorry, even banally forgot. analyst. According to him, in more than half of cases, the servicemen later come to their senses and return on their own. They are not considered deserters despite the HSC. "The deserter is the one who has finally escaped and is already consciously hiding," the wild stressed.

According to him, while fewer Ukrainians served in the army, there were fewer cases of HSF. Now that more than a million people serve, such cases have increased naturally. "The increase in HRC has been associated with recently, in particular, also with an increase in the percentage of forcibly mobilized. Such a pattern is also there," the veteran added. He noted that among volunteers, desertion also happens, but there are less cases than among the mobilized ones. However, both issues are a minority.
