Share: On the night of October 25, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck the capital of Ukraine with ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, residential and non-residential objects were damaged in several districts. At least one person died, nine were injured, some of them were hospitalized. The missile attack began in the early hours, a series of ballistic missiles were fired over Kyiv under a simultaneous attack by attack drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Explosions rang out in the city, fires broke out in the Dnipro, Desnyan and Darnytsky districts on the left bank of the capital. According to preliminary information, non-residential buildings, cars and windows in residential buildings were damaged.

"Preliminarily, as a result of the attack, there are broken windows, mutilated cars, a hole in the yard of a residential building," wrote Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed the fact of the attack and clarified that rescue services are working on the ground. As of the morning of October 25, rescuers extinguished the fire in Darnytskyi and Desnyansky districts. Three victims were hospitalized.

The press service of the Kyiv City State Administration also reported on temporary delays in the work of public transport due to the consequences of shelling. In particular, the movement of trams No. 22 and buses No. 51, 63 on Boryspilska Street is restricted due to road sections being blocked by rescuers and the police. The authorities ask residents to take into account possible delays when planning trips and to follow updates on the official Telegram channels.

The Air Force of Ukraine reported on the work of Ukrainian air defense. The Russian army launched Iskander-M missiles from the Rostov and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, and attack drones from Kursk, Oryol, and Crimean Gvardiysky. In total, Ukrainian air defense equipment shot down or suppressed four ballistic missiles and 50 enemy drones in the north, south and east of the country. Earlier it was reported that air defense systems were operating in Kyiv during the Russian attack.
