According to the command, the invaders launched UAVs from two directions - from Cape Chaud (Crimea) and Kursk region (Russia). A total of 48 triggers of shock drones were recorded. After the Air Battle, 41 UAVs were destroyed. Fighter aviation, anti -aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups of Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in reflection of the attack.
Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force, expressed gratitude to all soldiers for the protection of airspace and noted a significant contribution of the combat work of mobile fire groups of defense forces of Ukraine, who were able to destroy the majority of "Shahd". The Shahanedov movement over Ukraine began to be reported from December 5 - at 20:34 it became known about the first drones over the Odessa region.
According to the Armed Forces, the drones moved from the Black Sea towards the Chernomorsk port. After that, at 20:45 the UAV movement was recorded towards the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. Later, reports began to appear about the movement of drones in the direction of Kirovograd, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Poltava and Khmelnitsky regions.
As reported in the press service of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration, during the Air Alarm on the Shahaneda, which flew over the region, worked forces of air defense. According to the leadership of the region, there was no casualties and destruction of infrastructure, on December 5, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck a hospital in the center of Kherson. Four doctors were injured in hostile shelling.
