Fair peace is impossible without the return of the stolen Russian children - Daria Zarivna

The issue of illegally deported and displaced by Russia of Ukrainian children should remain in the focus of international attention. This is the adviser to the Presidential Office Head, Bring Kids Back UA Operations Director Dariya Zarivna stressed during a meeting with media representatives. “For Ukraine, the issue of returning deported children is an important humanitarian priority. Children should not be the subject of bargaining.

In simple words, we cannot exchange stolen children at the territory or nuclear power plants, ”she said. Ukraine has repeatedly broken the topic of stolen children at the highest international level, in particular during contact with the United States. Due to the consistent position of the state, this issue, as well as the issue of release of military and civilian prisoners, became in the official negotiation track.

Among other things, they are taken into account in a joint statement based on the meeting of delegations of Ukraine and the USA and the results on the results of expert talks between Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia. Daria Zarivna added that one of the biggest challenges is the search for little Ukrainians. As of now, Ukraine has returned home to 1269 children.

This was achieved through the mediation of third countries and close cooperation between the state with non -governmental organizations that carry out rescue missions. The adviser to the head of the Head of State noted that the initiative of President Bring Kids Back UA combines the efforts of public authorities, public sector and international partners.
