The US does not have a long -term repair plan transferred to Ukraine - Pentagon

According to the US Defense Ministry, the Armed Forces transferred parts for armored vehicles by the end of the 2024 financial year. But Patriot SCK will be difficult to replace or repair. The United States has transferred a variety of weapons from combat vehicles to Patriot. However, the problem is that the Pentagon does not have a long -term plan to support weapons. About it reports Defense One.

According to the US Defense Ministry report, the Ukrainian military assists with the field repair, but there is currently no plan for more complex restoration work at the factory level. The Polish US maintenance unit is unable to repair, for example, Patriot. The General Inspector recommended that the European command of the United States determine the means and requirements for organizing repair at the enterprise level.

The publication states that the inability of the Pentagon to maintain Patriot increases the risks that Ukraine will not be able to protect itself from the Russian Federation. The American Anti -Praghet Complex proved to be very effective against Russian missiles, but missiles in Russia do not end. Rusi analysts believe that Russia has increased the production of missiles and has about 200 Iscander ballistic missiles.

In addition, the US will be very difficult to replace Patriot systems transferred to the Armed Forces. The complex is in high demand worldwide. A similar problem is with other machines: a spare part package will be enough by the end of the 2024 financial year. In both cases, the reason for the lack of a long -term support plan is that the US has not provided money for these goals.
