Pretended to be a rescuer: in Odessa detained the agent of the Russian Federation who corrected shelling (photo)

According to the investigation, the suspected volunteer joined the volunteer rescue service, but instead of helping the victims during the analysis of the rubble, he photographed the effects of blows in Odessa. The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the activities of a Russian agent who issued herself as a rescuer to adjust the attacks of the Armed Forces of Russia on Odessa. This was reported on October 9 at the SBU press center.

In order to mask their illegal actions, the Russian agent joined the ranks of volunteers of the volunteer group of rescuers. It was found that he came to the places where the help needed to disassemble the rubble after Russian shelling. In fact, he recorded the consequences of attacks and transmitted information to Russian military intelligence. The obtained intelligence information was used to plan new attacks and to adjust already made in Odessa.

In addition, this Russian agent performed another task - he tried to identify the location of HIMARS reactive systems and air defense systems of the Armed Forces in the area of ​​the regional zone of the region. According to the information obtained during the investigation, this "assistant" of the invaders was a 29-year-old resident of Odessa, who was previously part of the local branch of the so-called "Lenin Communist Union of Youth".

He also maintained a connection with the FSB agent, which was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine after withdrawing it from Transnistria. At the beginning of the armed conflict, namely in May 2014, this citizen took an active part in provocations and mass riots in the regional center. At the beginning of the conflict, he signed a hostile Telegram-channel, which provided intelligence information about the location of the Ukrainian armed forces for Russian intelligence.

Later, the administrator of this channel, which is undercover in one of the countries of Central Asia, went out to the detainee and handed him the contacts of the game. Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine on the basis of the evidence collected have charged the suspect under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He is currently in custody and is threatened with life imprisonment.

We will remind, on September 22 it became known about the detention of informant of Russian special services. The woman passed the enemy's electronic coordinates of nine military and critical infrastructure of the Odessa region. It was also known that thanks to the SBU's evidence base, another collaborator received the real term of imprisonment, who cooperated with the aggressor during the occupation of part of Kharkiv region. He was detained immediately after the release of Kupyansk district.
