The Verkhovna Rada supported the President's initiative to create an institution of military Ombudsman
In particular, he will be able to accept and process complaints, carry out inspections in military units and military administration, interact with other bodies of the security and defense sector. The Ombudsman's military will also analyze the causes of warriors' violations, prepare proposals to eliminate violations and prevent them in the future, provide recommendations to the military management on how to change the situation with the rights of servicemen.
Olga Reshetilov thanked the President of Ukraine for the protection of the rights of military personnel and their families for a clear position and initiative, as well as the previous and current Ministers of Defense - for support, the Central Department of Protection of the Rights Development of the bill. “The adoption of the law is an important, but far from the last step, that the Ukrainian military has a tool to protect their rights: they felt care and justice.
