"No Confirmation": NATO Secretary General doubts that the Russian Federation is specifically hit Shahd in Romania

According to Jens Stoltenberg, an investigation into the incident with Iranian drone-Kamikadze is currently underway, and the military unit has repeatedly recorded air attacks by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near NATO borders. NATO has no information that the incident with a drone in Romania was a deliberate attack by Russia.

This was stated by the General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg at a joint meeting of committees in foreign affairs, defense and security of the European Parliament, reports Reuters. "We have no information that indicates a deliberate attack from Russia, and we expect the results of the ongoing investigation," he said. Stoltenberg emphasized what risks the Russian air strikes are in such a close proximity to the Alliance.

"Regardless of this result (investigation), we, of course, have seen many fighting, as well as air attacks near NATO borders," he added. On September 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko said that during a night mass attack of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, several Russian drones-Kamikadze Shahd 136 was detonated in the Romanian territory in the Izmail port. On the same day, Romania reported that Russian drones did not pose a direct threat to the country.

In addition, the department stated that the country has taken "additional measures to strengthen vigilance" in its national space. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that Ukraine has photodiocases of the fall of Russian shock drones in Romania.
