Crimes against Ukrainian children are the systemic policy of the Russian Federation - Dariya Zarivna at a meeting of the UN Security Council

Advisor to the Presidential Office of the President of Ukraine and the operating director of the initiative of the Head of State Bring Kids Back UA Dariya Zarivna made a report on systematic gross violations of Ukrainian children: murder, sexual crimes, illegal adoption and militarization aggression against Ukraine.   Today's meeting of the UN Security and Security of Ukraine was convened to discuss and draw special attention of the world to Russian crimes against children during the war.

Dariya Zarivna thanked the United States of America, who are now presiding in the UN Security Council, for organizing this important discussion and all delegates and speakers - for their speeches. She also stressed that Russia has neither legal nor a moral right to the place of a permanent member of the Council. “Russia will never be able to erase its authorship in the atrocities committed in Ukraine.

For two years in a row, an army of a permanent member of the Security Council - Russia - is included in the list of gross violators of the rights of children. This is for the first time in the history of the UN, ”she said. The representative of Ukraine called on the world community to maximum pressure on Russia to force it to comply with international law. The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office emphasized that at least 16 children were killed every week.

She also noted that through the war millions of Ukrainians, including minors, became refugees. Hundreds of thousands of children remain in the territories controlled by the Russian Federation - beyond access of Ukraine and international organizations. Ukraine searches for almost 20,000 children who have fallen victim to illegal deportation and forced movement. However, the real figure can be several times larger.   “Russian officials systematically refuse to provide information.

But in order to give you an idea, the commander of the child's rights in Russia, Maria Lviv-Belova boasted that more than 700 thousand Ukrainian children in Russia was "scattered" in Russia, "Daria Zarivna said.   She reminded that Ukraine, together with Canada, started an international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children, which was joined by 41 countries and the Council of Europe. Thanks to the joint efforts of the coalition participants, 1022 children managed to return home.

Also an important step on this path was the adoption at the conference on the humanitarian dimension of the formula of peace, which took place on October 30-31 in Canada, a Montreal obligation aimed at returning all captured and deported Ukrainians, especially children.   “We are grateful to Qatar, the Holy See and the South African Republic for their readiness for mediation. But we need more assistance, more actions and solidarity, ”Daria Zarivna emphasized.

Separately, she called for the return to Ukraine children abducted and taken to the Russian Federation.   The Bring Kids Back UA operating director demonstrated Margarita Prokopenko's Ukrainian birth certificate and compared it with a Russian document in the name of Marina Mironova. Russia issued it after Margarita's abduction from the Kherson Child's House. In Russia, she was changed her name, place of birth and forcibly adopted in the family of State Duma Deputy Sergei Mironov.

“The Kherson Child's House. Only one of many cases. His little pets had to hide in the cellar of the church when your army entered the city. But the FSB found them. They were deported. You know exactly where our children are now. Stop tormenting them. Return the children to Ukraine, ”Daria Zarivna addressed to the Russian representatives.

Nathaniel Raymond, Executive Director of the Humanitarian Research Laboratory of Yale University and member of the Bring Kids Back UA International Expert Group, presented a report published on December 3, after 20 months of investigation, a report on the Russian systematic program illegal deportation, re -education and compulsory adoption of young Ukrainians.
