New sanctions from Ukraine: 147 citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries have been restricted

According to the Presidential decrees, the terms of application of sanctions range from 3 to 10 years, but there is a lock of assets everywhere. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) "On the use of personal special economic and other restrictive measures" in accordance with decrees No. 772/2023 and No. 773/2023. This was reported at the official website of the President.

As it became known from these documents, sanctions were introduced against 147 citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries related to Russia. The first sanction list included 60 individuals - citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Cyprus, Belarus, Germany, Uzbekistan, Austria, the United Kingdom. In particular, the list is mentioned: sanctions against them are imposed for 10 years.

At the same time, blocking their assets, revocation of licenses, restrictions on transit and trade operations in the territory of Ukraine, prohibition on privatization and public procurement. The second sanction list included 87 individuals - citizens of the Russian Federation. Among them: sanctions against 34 defendants from the list by Decree No. 773/2023 are introduced for 10 years, against 50 - for five years, against three - for three years.

They provide for the blocking of assets, deprivation of state awards, cancellation of licenses, ban on transit and trade operations in the territory of Ukraine, withdrawal of capital abroad, for privatization, purchase of land. On November 22, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the NSDC decision to introduce sectoral economic and other sanctions against Russia and Belarus. According to the Legislative Initiative No. 10271, the restrictions will be in force for the next 50 years.

The previous one, 11th, was approved by the Allies of Ukraine in the summer of 2023. It appeared in which the EU countries want to prevent Russia from circumventing previously imposed restrictions. Also on November 16, Focus wrote that in the Czech Republic all the assets of the company "State Administration" were frozen. This firm deals with Russian real estate abroad.
