Iran refused to put Russia advanced drones-Kamikadze Arash-2-media

Instead of drones capable of hitting targets up to 2 thousand km, the Kremlin will receive from Tehran the Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar missiles. In September, Iran rejected the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply Iranian modern percussion drones of the distant radius of Arash-2. About it reports Reuters with reference to three Iranian officials.

Answering the journalists' questions about the reasons for the refusal, one of the interlocutors called several reasons, including "some technical problems". "In addition, (Iranian) commanders have been concerned that if Russia uses this drone in Ukraine, Americans can access our technologies," - quotes one of the officials.

At the same time, Tehran agreed to put the Russian Army of the Land-Earth-Earth and Zolfaghar missiles, which can affect the targets at a distance of 300 to 700 km, respectively, the agency writes. Also, the Iranian side will hand over to Moscow a new UAV batch. Supply is expected in the next 10 days, the source reported.

For his part, the Iranian diplomat in a comment by Reuters rejected the accusations of the Western countries of violating the resolution 2231 of the Security Council since 2015, which limits the export of a number of weapons, including drones, by the end of 2023. "Where they (drones-Kamikadze) are not used by the seller. We do not choose the side in the Ukrainian crisis, as the event does. We want to end the crisis with a diplomatic way," the diplomat said.

We will remind, earlier Russian militaryrs with reference to Iranian sources reported that Moscow and Tehran allegedly concluded a contract for the supply of new drones-Kamikadze Arash-2, which can affect targets up to 2,000 kilometers.
