This applies to both Republicans and Democrats. According to journalists, in May 2023, an identical survey showed that 46% of respondents agree with the support of Ukraine and only 25% were opposed. The publication reported that about 52% of democrats supported the weapons of Ukraine, compared to 61% in May. Among the Republicans, the support of weapons dropped to 35% of 39% in May.

About 34% of the democrats who took part in the survey agreed with the statement that Ukraine's problems are not a matter of Americans and they should not interfere, compared to 56% of Republicans.
