The new Ukrainian weapon will come to the front of the fore faster: that has changed

From November 1, domestic equipment and weapons are delivered to the front without carrying out inappropriate inspections and tests, assured the profile ministry. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated the reduction of delivery of new domestic military equipment to the front. The press service of the department wrote on Telegram. Now the sending of Ukrainian weapons and equipment will take place under the simplified procedure.

It is noted that manufacturers themselves will determine the parameters by which weapons will supply. In particular, earlier the military themselves prescribed these parameters. The Defense Ministry says they reduced the inspections during production, leaving only the most appropriate, and canceled the tests that are not related to confirmation of its combat capability. Previously, weapons and equipment were to undergo climate tests for 6-12 months.

This was necessary to ensure a warranty period of storage - 10 years. Today this requirement is canceled. "In many cases, the manufacturer clearly understands that there is no need to store this sample for 10 years, because he immediately goes to the front from the conveyor. Therefore, these indicators of the shelf life do not affect the quality of the sample," the message reads.

It is reported that manufacturers should now confirm only the efficiency of equipment, its safety for personnel and reliability. However, despite the changes, the manufacturer will continue to be responsible for the quality and risks of supply of weapons and equipment to the Ukrainian military. In July 2023, Ukrainian troops were adopted by the Bogdan SAU, which was developed at the Kramatorsk Plant of heavy machine tools.

The installation can take 5 shots per minute, and its firing range is 40-42 km. Despite the available manufacturers of equipment, Ukraine constantly considers the possibility of attracting new foreign companies that will work in Ukraine. For example, at the end of August, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the head of Bae Systems defense enterprise. The meeting discussed the possibility of production in Ukraine BMP CV90 and artillery L119 and M777.

At that time, the President emphasized that one of the most important priorities is the development of his own production. Also in August, the CEO of the German company RheinMetall, Armin Papperger, stated that a company that would serve Western armored vehicles will work in Ukraine. For this purpose, the company taught 12 Ukrainian specialists.

In September, it was reported that one of the Ukrainian companies considered the possibility of licensing production in Ukraine of ASCOD infantry fighting machines. They can have different weapons and withstand 14. 5 mm ammunition. The Finnish Patria armored vehicle manufacturer in Ukraine was also able to produce its equipment in Ukraine. It is worth noting that since 2023 the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine buys mainly ammunition of domestic production.
