"I see no happy end": General Estonia voiced the forecast for the end of the war in Ukraine

According to the commander -in -chief of the Defense Forces Martin Heme, times are not more peaceful, but for countries such as Estonia, constant readiness to threaten security at their borders is needed. A happy end of the settlement of war in Ukraine is possible only in the event of the collapse of Russia "into smaller and less powerful countries. " This was stated on Monday, April 24 by the Commander -in -Chief of Estonia forces, General Martin Herre, reports Bloomberg.

According to General Heme, there are no other ways for a peaceful resolution of the issue with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. "There is nothing that could lead to peaceful settlement in Ukraine, except for the collapse of Russia into smaller and less powerful countries. I do not see the happy end of the war in Ukraine," he said.

The commander -in -chief noted that for countries such as Estonia, this situation indicates that they should be constantly prepared for the threat of security at their borders. "In fact, today we are increasingly moving to the situation of Israel. And this means that we must constantly be prepared for something to start happening. Not today and not tomorrow, but times do not become more peaceful," - said Herm.
