Aviation of the Russian Federation Bombs with the UMPC has decreased significantly: what is the reason

In September, the enemy's aviation used a record number of AVPC aviation bombs - an average of about 100 units a day. But in the last two months, this number has decreased to 40 aircraft. September 2024 became a record month by the number of aviation and correction modules used and correction (UMPC) by Russian PCS, reaching 3342 units. This is 10% more than August, when 2,998 such attacks were recorded.

The average daily use of the UMPC was up to 100 bombs, which indicates a large -scale intensity of their use, reports Truth Hounds. According to the monitoring groups, most of the UMPC attacks were aimed at military goals along the front line. However, a significant number of blows came into civilian objects in densely populated cities such as Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporozhye and Kherson.

In the period from March to September 2024, 951 attacks were recorded on civilian facilities, which killed 250 people, including 16 children, and more than 1300 were injured. Analysts noted that the relative cheapness and availability of managed aircraft make them the main means of air strikes. The production capacity of the Russian Federation allows to provide significant reserves of the UMPC, created on the basis of Soviet aircraft.

However, the accuracy of the bombs, declared at the level of 15 meters, is not achieved in real conditions due to the action of radio electronic fighting systems and the use in the production of bombs of cheap components, which leads to significant casualties among civilians. Meanwhile, according to OSINT research, the number of Russian aviation strikes with the help of AIPC aircraft continues to decline.

The number of air strikes with this type of weapons has decreased on average to 40 per day, which is the lowest since the start of statistics. It should be noted that the likely decrease in the activity of Russian aviation bombs with the UMPC may be due to the fact that the defense forces have begun to strike on the rear military facilities in Russia's long -range ATACMS missiles. It was in the middle of November that permission was obtained to strike.
