It is necessary to consolidate the world in order for Russia to be responsible for ecocide, and Ukraine does not remain alone with this tragedy - the Presidential appeal to representatives of the world environmental community
People who save and escape from Russian ecocide are forced to escape from Russian fire! Just at evacuation points . . . This Russian ecocid crime is the largest in decades in Europe, but, apparently, Russian occupiers have decided to further aggravate its consequences. In the occupied part of the territory where about a dozen settlements are flooded, there is no evacuation. People on the second day on the roofs, in a water trap, without drinking water, food and medical care.
We do not know how many dead and victims are killed. Just every hour is installed - and we are installing - more and more details as to what harm Russia caused this disaster. More than 30 settlements are broken. For hundreds of thousands of people in many cities and villages, access to drinking water is much complicated.
Due to the destruction of the dam, fuel storage facilities, warehouses with chemicals, warehouses with fertilizers, animal burial grounds, of which are at least two "anthrax burials", and both in the temporarily occupied territory. What is with them now, we do not know. Where there was no centralized sewer, sewage drains are already in water, which is covered by everything . . .
The number of ecosystems that are destroyed or put on the border of extinction by this Russian terrorist attack is already calculated by thousands. More than 50,000 hectares of forests are flooded, and at least half of them will die. Tens of thousands of birds and at least twenty thousand wild animals under the threat of death. It is obvious that the Kakhovka reservoir has been transformed into a large grave for millions of living things.
No people have to remain alone with such challenges! But there is no answer to how we can overcome it all. First. Of course, we will continue to do our best to save as many people as possible. And we need support for the world. And not only rhetoric, but also actions. In the territories we have controlled territories, international organizations began to assist. I thank. In the occupied territory - zero support. And the longer it lasts, the more, unfortunately, there will be casualties.
There are virtually no attention to international organizations to the occupied territory, which is flooded. And you need, in particular, your pressure on them - I ask! Second. All this we encountered is a conscious crime of the occupier. Many questions about what happened. But it happened in the occupied territory. But last year we warned about the mines of the dams and other structures of the station. But Russian troops are now firing areas where evacuation is ongoing.
Obviously, it is Russia who is interested in a catastrophe. Just as we have created special expert groups that are engaged in the promotion of sanctions and security guarantees for Ukraine, we also create an expert group that will first and foremost consolidate the world, so that the ecocide is full of Russia - with ecocid. I am sure that with sufficient leadership in the world, the appropriate tools can be created. Third.
Any terrorist expects only a few forms of result for themselves: it is the suffering of people, it is intimidation of people and it is the ruins left by terror. This is how Russia works in this. Of course, we will do everything to guarantee people the basis for life even after this disaster. But it is necessary that there is no desert, or ruins, or dead zone after this catastrophe.
And this can be provided only by joint efforts, along with the eco -protection community of the world, together with Policy Makers, together with leaders and states, together with international organizations. Pollution and poison from the flood zone quickly enters groundwater, poisons rivers, and from there enters the Black Sea basin. That is, there is no destruction of nature "somewhere" - everything in the world is very interconnected. And so please spread the truth about this Russian ecocide.
