Russia's energy at the verge of collapse: 42 regions are already reducing consumption - the head of the CPD Kovalenko

To spread: the energy system of the Russian Federation is in a critical condition and has a lack of capacity of 25 GW. Despite the absence of large -scale blows along its infrastructure, the country is already faced with a systemic crisis, which is exacerbated by sanctions and wear of the equipment. According to the head of the Center for Combating Misinformation at the NSDC Andriy Kovalenko, the Russian energy is a "powder barrel".

Instead of modernizing its own TPPs and GRES, Moscow loses reserves due to restrictions on access to Western technologies and the natural aging of the system. The restoration of energy without foreign components is virtually impossible, and even without Ukrainian blows, the power system of the Russian Federation "cracks at the seams". Currently, 42 Russian regions already have restrictions on peak hours, including the central part of the country, Siberia and the Far East.

In this case, the authorities invest in the construction of nuclear blocks in Africa under Rossa curated, instead of directing resources to internal problems. His publication also states that sanctions and technological isolation have led to the degradation of infrastructure and the lack of a crisis plan. Nevertheless, the Russian leadership continues to strike on Ukrainian energy, actually condemning their own population to a shortage of electricity, cold and blackouts.

According to Kovalenko, the main task of the Kremlin is now to preserve Moscow's energy supply, even if it has to sacrifice other regions. "The sanctions have already been struck: there are no reserves, the infrastructure is degraded, there is no way out. We will remind that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that due to the constant attacks of Russia on the Ukrainian energy system Moscow herself risks to stay without light.
